Catching Up in the New Year

We havent finished January, but I feel like the New Year is off to a good start! :)  I made a few resolutions or minor changes rather this year and realy feel that it has made a positive difference.  For that I am truly Grateful! :)  But in Order to Talk about the Present, I'd like to take a quick look back at the end of 2012.  To share some fun memories...

In November my family went Home to CT for Thanksgiving, for the first time since Rob asked me to Marry him 6 years ago.  I put together a small collage of pictures from my visit.  The collage itself is not done all that well...but was the best I could do....

While I was home, We enjoyed a Snow storm that lasted the entire day.  Christian had soooo much fun in the snow....the following is a little video of him exploring in it...sorry in advanced for my constant chatter in the video...

We enjoyed a nice small gathering of 23 people! :)  Just my kind of Holiday.  Although with the amount of food made, we could have fed a small army. :)
For desert, we had a lot options...although one in particular was the one EVERYONE wanted, and wanted so badly, that we all ate one before dinner! It was the cupcakes that Josh and Alisha brought.  Sounds CRAZY right...like maybe some sort of family inside story...NOPE not at all, these cupcakes were sooooooo important, because inside just 2 of the cupcakes had either Blue or Pink filling...And that meant we were going to be able to find out the gender of the Soon To Be Krecidlo Twins.  And to our Absolute Delight, Its two new Krecidlo BOYS!!!!!!  ( I wish I had Josh's video to show you how excited we all were)

During the Three weeks that Christian and I were in CT, we were able to Celebrate "Cousins Christmas" A family Tradition that started as a weekend sleepover for all our cousins on my moms side to spend time together and play games and have fun. Since we have all got married, and some with kids, and just life being so busy...it has turned into a Christmas party once a year at the Tatarians, a party that is sorely missed, if not able to be attended.  The food is out of this world, and we are always learning new games.  This year amongst the games was the Rudolf Relay.  And the following Video is just an inside glimpse of how crazy we can be.

Once Christian and I were settled back home in MS, we decorated our entire house with the Christmas Cheer.  Another first for us, since this was our first year that we were not traveling at Christmas time, it just felt good to decorate and know that we would be able to enjoy it for the whole Christmas Season. At the top of collage, is the outside lights, on the left Christian is wearing his Mickey Pj's to go to a "Happy Birthday Jesus" pajama party at the Knights house, the Piano was a gift from Gammy and PopPop, and for my Northern friends and Family, I had to put in a pic of him in a short sleeve shirt playing out in the sandbox at Christmas time, cause I know you are all just envious of the fantastic Southern Weather. The Tractors were the Christmas theme for this year, to go along with his new tractor themed room, as Christian transitioned from a crib to his Twin bed too. For the first time we got a real live Christmas tree...and when I tell you this was the craziest tree in the world, I am not over exaggerating.  This tree had a double trunk, and a bend in the trunk. Rob fought with it for at least 2 hours to get it to stand as up right as it possibly could, with wood propped up in the bowl, 2x4's under the tree stand, and rope tied up to the curtain rod to the tree itself, all in effort to keep this as close to straight and stable as possible.  And I have to say, I was soooo in love with our tree!!
Christmas came and Christmas went...and the tree and the lights came down. All Robs paid holidays were over, Shanna went back to school, and life started to return to somewhat of normalcy.  But a change was brewing, and it seems so obvious to me now, and I hate that 2 years had passed before I realized that it was time to implement a Daily Routine.  Since then Christian and I have carved out time to do morning devotions, potty time, learning time, house chores, cooking time, and outside play time.  Since then Christian has started counting to 10, knows his colors, sorts his colors, been going the bathroom on the potty at my prompting, (think I will wait till the spring to do some outside potty training). He is saying more words...all of what I thought would have started so much earlier, until I realized that I needed to be more proactive with him, more intentional in our every day life activities, with more teaching, and less doing.   I have to say that doing more, has given me more time to get things done.  I didn't even know how that was possible, until I looked back, and saw all the wasted time I had been spending.

So looking forward, This year seems bright. I have two new nephews to look forward too! My Cousins Michael and April, and Nathaniel and Elizabeth are having babies, I have friends that are having babies, Rob is starting a new online Christian Fitness Website,( www.arisenfitness.com) Shanna turns 16, OMGosh, when did she grow up? Christian starting Preschool in the fall. I look forward to being a better Wife and a better Mom, to be a better Christian, I see how the enemy is lurking, seeking those whom he can devour...he is doing it in our church, in our friendships, in our families.  Is it because he knows that God has something big in store? I think so. I not only want to see God move, I want to be part of what He has planned, not just a bystander...I pray for Great Healing this year.  My family has a bucket full of ailments that I believe God can heal, My church family is in need of Healing, I'm praying for a nodule on my right Thyroid to be healed, and avoiding a surgery to remove half of it. I'm praying for families and marriage's to be restored. All these things I am praying for to see GOD GLORIFIED IN 2013.  I'm so blessed to know our Risen Saviour, and to be able to rest in his Mercy and Grace! Happy New Year, I pray that you take time to reflect, and to be encouraged of what this new year has in store!

ALL THINGS NEW

Music will load up in 1 minute

And he that sat upon the throne said , Behold , I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write : for these words are true and faithful ~ Revelations 21:5 KJV

I am so thankful that Christ has made me new.  I am not perfect, I fail each day...but Im a work in progress seeking to be like Him more each day!

Saturday I am trying something new.  I am doing a craft show!!  I love making things from old salvaged wood, or yardsale finds...I have so much fun creating something beautiful out of something ugly! :)  So I decided to call my new little business, ALL THINGS NEW.  None of it will be perfect, but all of it will be a labor of love. I pray that God can use this little talent to shine His light to others.

Im going to preview my items here on my blog, so that if you see anything you like, you might want to come check out my booth this Saturday from 9am-3pm.

Just a day in the life of Christian

Learning my letter and sounds
wearing my Mickey Hat
Learning my Numbers Counting with Shawn the Train
Out at the park with my friend Rivers
Taking a dip in pool fully clothed shoes and all

Dad let him ride car in house during Hurrican Issac

Happy to have Peyton over to Play
They were way to dirty to take nap after playtime outside, so inside for a bath
look how cute Christian's bum cheeks are! :)
Mary Todd invited Christian to come to Kids day at her Child Development class.

He starting to like putting his hands in his pockets.

They put on a puppet show and Read Dr. Seuss. Christian's first time seeing
puppets, and he loved them. He tried to give them his cup at one point.
This is the shirt they made at Kids Day too cute!

Going to the park to play with Rivers again

Blurry, but He's so cute wearing his hat...

Turns out it was not at all chilly at park...

Riding the slide...last time neither of them would climb up...

He wouldnt let go of the cup. :)

Walking the bridge

Hanging out with my friends Rivers and Cloe-we just met her today

In a time out for pushing Rivers.  :(

At Jackson's Pirate Party

This is where Christian ran and hid, when I told him it was nap time...
hahaha, he doesnt realize I can see him through the slats I guess. LOL

all pooped out from a fun day playing...funny how he sleeps sideways in his crib
when he wouldnt have to mush his legs up like a frog, if he slept lengthwise. too cute!

not sure where we were going here...but he is a happy boy, and he looks so cute in
this shirt that Shanna's nana bought for him.
